Re: GS-T or GSX

There are many many threads.

Off the line, AWD is better. If you don't worry about traction, the GST has less drivetrain loss, weight, and parts to break.

Re: GS-T or GSX

GSX - from a stop to stop (drag races)

GST - from a role (highway races)

But in all reality a GSX can be just as fast off a role as anything else, as long as the propper mods are in place. but the whole "static drag" (having a hard time remebering its proper name) thing does work out for FWD having a top end advantage.

would someone please give me the word i was looking for in my post, it is going to drive me nuts. where is Kevin at to correct me when i need him????

i am sure that isnt it,i thought a little more about it and static infers that there is no motion, i am refering to the increased drag caused by having 4 tires putting down power instead of just one. which yes simply put is "drivetrain loss" but there is a more technical term for it that i was trying to remember.

Re: GS-T or GSX

I think you might be refering to a post I made once explaining the different types of loss in the drivetrain. You have the inertia of the parts you need to accelerate, which will go up with power, and the static losses, or losses that are always there. Like the fluid drag, seal drag, bearing drag, etc. I'm not sure if there is a more technical term for it, but I refer to them as static losses because they shouldnt change with an increase in power. Meaning the loss percentage actually goes down with increased power, though total loss still goes up naturally.

That might be it, not sure.

Re: GS-T or GSX

I think the term you're looking for is parasitic drag?

Drag Coefficient is a wind-tunnel test result for aerodynamics
