Don't Forget to Wipe...
Ok, this might seem kinda trivial, but I need good wiper blades for my Accord. I live in the Midwest, and we get plenty (and I do mean plenty) of thunderstorms here, and that's not even mentioning some of the rougher winters. It's sucks driving when the weather decides to piss all over ya; any recommendations, or will cheapos from Walmart be sufficient?

Thanks, it's a Douglas Adams quote. He was the author of the Hitchhikers' Guide series.

Re: Don't Forget to Wipe...
I've always used OEM replacements from the dealer. They seem to last longer and do a better job wiping in general. Several years ago, Consumer Reports tested OEM wiper blades against several different aftermarket brands, testing them for durability and how effectively they wiped and such. In almost every case the OEM blades were better.
Don't forget that there is a difference between inserts (the rubber strip that does the actual wiping) vs. blades (the assembly that the inserts slide into). Depending on how long it's been since the blades were replaced, you can often just replace the inserts and keep the existing blades. I think the inserts are about $4 or $5 at Honda dealers. Tom |

Re: Don't Forget to Wipe...
I replaced the blades pretty cheap with the replacements they have at Pepboys, no complaints here.

Re: Don't Forget to Wipe...
piaa make sum nice blades but spendy depends on size but i been using the rainx and wiped it on my wind shield and u only have to wipe once with blades after a stop then while driving rain will get off as as fast as they get on preety useful esp on freeways eliminates the use of wiper blade

Re: Don't Forget to Wipe...
rain-x on the windshield + a pair of new wash blades is godly. There are also some nice dupont blades out there, that do a very good job and last a very long time...get those for the ultimate.
