4 cyl camry turbo?

I was hoping that someone here has some info on turbocharging a 4 cyl camry. I am thinking of buying a used eclipse turbo and fabracating an exaust manifold, but I have some questions. How well can a 2.2l handle 5-7 psi of boost, would I have to use water injection to prevent knocking, could the stock efi put enough fuel into the air (would I have to re-program it) , and are there any other factors that could prevent me from doing this? (aka coolong, automatic tranny....ect)

Post this at the www.camryman.org or www.camryclub.org or www.toyotanation.com forums and you'll get a lot of responses...

As far as turbo for 5sfe, check out the above forums, plus these links:

http://www.poweredbytoyota.com
http://www.meisners.net/camry/

Also, RIPP Mods in NYC is already producing a bolt-on supercharger for the 4 cyl 97-01 Camry. Again, check out the above forums for more info...

do you have a 5s-fe? if so the mr2 3s-gte maifold will bolt right on. so far I got most of my parts but a few.
-supra n/a injectors
-mr2 map sensor
-hks ssqv
-mr2 mainfold
-toyota ct-26 dual entry
-oil line
-coolent line
-boost controller
-cat
-elbow
-j&s safeguard individual knock sensor

the only thing i'm missing is
-8:5:1 forged pistons
-pauter connecting rods
-air/fuel controller
-custom pipes

if you go to toyotanation.com or board.mr2faq.com you will find everything you need to know. like everyone suggested.

NO......NO........NO.......NO!
For the turbo for the 5s-fe (ALL)http://www.poweredbytoyota.com/burie...ssfeturbo.html
For the supercharger for the 5s-fe http://rippmods.com/products/product...m&productId=82
I personally would prefer a Supercharger over a Turbo charger any given day. I don't know much about them, but I've heard 4 cyl cars can give off some nastey Turbo lag, as opposed to a s/c gives none.

there are two ways to spin the fins to blow more aire into your compression chamber. supercharger use pulleys to spin the wheel. turbos use the exhaust gases. Supercharger has instant power. turbos takes alil more time to spool but will go beyond what a belt driven s/c. if your boosting low psi you should have much problem.
