5.0 Springs

I'm thinking of totaling rebuilding my front end... I need struts and control arms anyways becuase they are shot. I'm thinking of a K-Member too, But when i do all this im going to change the springs does anyone know where you can get new springs with the same height i'd rather not go lower... But i can't find any place that sells the stock height. Well thanks for the help....

what first of all, what year is your mustang??? secondly, I would check a local ford dealer. I'm pretty sure you can pick up some stock springs there, the only thing will be the price. Most dealers cost an arm and leg for parts. As far as an aftermarket seller I'm not sure. Wish I could help more, but maybe that will get you started

Re: 5.0 Springs

i guess you could go to a junkyard but those probably would not be your best choice.

I was going to metion that as a second option also. you can also get some lowering kits that are under an inch drop if you want to go that route. I know its still a drop but it should be fairly unoticiable. That would be the next best thing to factory.

Getting the correct factory spring from Ford may not be as easy as you would think. If your spring has a identification tag of some sorts, you're all set. But if the tag is gone, it will be up to how knowledgable the parts guy is on mustang spring part numbers. This is because their parts lists do not list the specific spring required for the different types of mustangs like 4-cylinder, V8, convertable or hatchback. They have a list of all the springs that are availlable for mustangs, but they can't tell you which spring goes with which car. This is what I was told by my local Ford parts guy. I'm a regular customer there and pretty good friends with the parts guy, so I don't think it was a case of him not wanting to get them for me. He just had no way know which one was the right one.
