1996 Rodeo Check Engine Light
My check engine light seems to come on when I drive the car cold. After the car has warmed up, if I reset the light it stays off. I've gotten the code read, and they tell me it's Oxygen Sensor 1 Bank 1. I changed what I thought was that O2 sensor (front driver side), but I still have the problem.
Does anyone know which sensor is "Sensor 1 Bank 1"? Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks a lot. |

If I'm not mistaken, the 1996 Rodeo uses 4 oxygen sensors. One in front of the catalytic converter and another behind it, for each "bank" of 3 cylinders. I'm not sure which one is "Sensor 1 Bank 1"; but someone here will have the answer for you.

Drivers Side Is Bank 2 , Pass Side Is Bank 1 Sounds Like You Replaced The Wrong One

Thanks a lot, 2eyefishclaw, I'll try the other side. Am I right in assuming that "Sensor 1" would be the sensor closest to the front of the car?
