drive line vibration
I have a '94 metro with 115,000 miles. I developed a drive line vibration in the left front. The vibration is present at all speeds, but increases with speed. It's constant when driving straight or making right turns, but completely disapears on left hand turns. I pulled out the drivers side drive shaft for inspection, cv joints feel fine, the wheel bearing is as smooth as a baby's butt......Any ideas

4 things to check.. Bent rim...wheel balance...ball joint....tie rod end...
They could all cause a little shimmy in the front. |

This is more than a little shimmy, at 65 mph you had better have the radio up on LOUD.....VERY LOUD....however, the car handle very well, p.s. the tires are brand new.....thanks

A bent rim can be balanced, and will shake like a mother. I had one on my SSGTi, and it ended up tearing my wheel bearings up. I would seriously look into that soon. Or it will tear up your ball joints and tie rod ends. Possibly rattle the lug nuts loose. take it to a shop if you can't find the problem.
