Re: camber kits after lowering
ingalls are good, ebach makes good ones too, you wont need them unless you lower your car more then 2 inches.

Re: camber kits after lowering
is it for real 2 inches?
i bought a 95 gs-t with tokico gas shocks in the trunk.the only reason i dont put them on is becouse dont have money for chamber kit right now. I'm not sure how much they will drop, but they look like one kind from e-bay,very bright blue,HP,they drop 1.75 inches. if i put the shocks and drop 1.75" would i need chamber or it'll be ok? |

Re: camber kits after lowering
Tokico illuminas drop about 1.5, some times up to 1.75. every car is diffrent though. the best way to tell is to put the struts on and put it on the alignment machine. then you'll know for sure if you need one. i doubt it though

Re: camber kits after lowering
Illuminas are the shock, not the spring. They cant lower the car.
![]() Forget camber kits. Just have the front end aligned to zero degrees toe. Any toe out will kill the tires, not the camber. The rear is not adjustable, but will be 0 toe if the parts are in good shape (no accidents, etc). I run with well over 3 degrees negative camber and my tires last years, with 35k miles per year, and a few hundred drag passes per year (the car spins all 4).

Re: camber kits after lowering
unless they are the full damper kit with the springs attatched to the shocks... they won't do anything but make the car ride a little better. No drop.. just like kevin said. on the 95 rs we lowered yesterday... (about 1.5 inches) everything was fine. no major camber problems. but usually anything after that and the tires start to bow outwards. and you need a kit. You can get any kit you feel comfortable running. hell I've seen people fix the problem with some washers on the control arms. it's all a matter of making things flat. a 1.5 inch drop on 17's looks great. on 18's even better! plus the handling will be much better. it will ride a little rougher.. but thats to be expected. Don't be afraid to drop the car.. be afraid of hitting potholes with a dropped car!

Re: camber kits after lowering
I suppose its also worth mentioning that I did correct my camber about 3 years ago. It sucked so back I took the camber kits off the next day. I think the kits took out too much camber. I'm still meaning to add some washer to the rear to help with traction, but I break enough shit as it is...

Re: camber kits after lowering
turn it upside down, and press it into the driveway. then let it up. if you can do that... it's good to go. be careful though.. it may be hard to push, and it also could come popping up and catch you in the man pleaser!

Re: camber kits after lowering
I thought Prokits did not drop more than 2"? I know 97 Eclipse that has Prokits and I had to put adjustable control arm cams in to correct it by about 2.5* of camber. Rears were off too. Enough that it would cause uneven tire wear. It all depends on what you are going to take as "acceptable" when it comes to tire wear.
