I have noticed in looking at the diffrent types of performance exhausts for the rx7 that most of the complete kits include a baffle style mufler instead of a strait through disign, i am curious if the rotary engine lends itself to haveing a little more back preasure that the baffel style muffler might provide.

I believe the Racing beat system is a straight through type design...
Either way, thats the one I would get.

yea, you want straight through, either buy the racing beat exhaust or the mazdatrix exhaust
