I ordered two sets of rims from HLJ a couple days ago and I was wondering if anyone that has previously ordered anything from them could tell me how long it takes the shipping to get from there to New York? I ordered the rims using SAL and there status report shows it was sent out on April 8 but it says no tracking # availble...

ya i always expect that there stuff will take twice as long as they say it should.

It will take anywhere from 14 days to 4 months. Usually right around 2 full weeks. You see, SAL packages are low priority and can sit in Japan unitl there's room for your package then they send it. Usually this is not the case but take EMS for example. I get EMS packages 3-4 days after they sent it. EMS is high priority and well worth the money if you need the order ASAP.

I wish I could remember how long it took for mine and I'm from NY. It took about 2 weeks if I remember correctly.

It take 2 - 2.5 weeks SAL to get to the UK as a comparision.

I live in NJ. I just ordered something last week. Well, it was shipped last week. It got here in 8 days. It was mosly paint and Tomica cars. But every other order i have placed took no longer then 2 weeks. Frank X.

Order SAL if you aren't waiting for the parts to start a kit! Airmail if the parts are vital!

I used SAL for my rims and was really surprised how quick they got here. Within two weeks.

But it can vary, don't want that if waiting on finishing a kit!

Same to report as most of the above, I'm also in Australia and it almost always takes 2 weeks (give or take a few days). I live in country NSW so it would probably be slightly quicker it you lived in a big city. Very rarely I've had packages opened and inspected by Australian customs. That slows things down quite considerably, another week to a month! Never been charged inport duty yet (knock on wood).
