Tire Advice
I am a 1st time Jeep owner who just bought a '98 Wrangler Sport.
It currently has stock rims (nice looking) with Goodyear 30x9.5R15LT tires. I don't intend to do a lift at this time and will be utilizing the Jeep on nice weekends with my young family (wife and child). However, I am interested in putting on new tires that will hopefully give the Jeep a "beefier" look without sacrificing the ride or ability to keep the same rims. Can someone please offer any suggestions they might have? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Re: Tire Advice
Personally, I think you are fine with the 30" tires you are running now. I have heard that you can run up to 31" tires without a lift but it looks awful close to me. In fact, it almost looks wewird without at least a minimal amount of lift. I have a 3.5" suspension lift and 1" body lift and run 33" x 12.50" tires and I HATE them ! I'm going to switch back to 31" tires. As a rule: " everything in moderation ".

Re: Tire Advice
30" is your max. 31 will rub bad. They make spacers for the springs that are cheap. That will allow you to go 31s.
