climate control lights
94 camry le
Hey all, I searched awhile and couldn't find anything on this. The climate control, area where the temp. stuff is, lights are out. Now, I am new to Toyota, so I'm not sure if they are supposed to light up, and if they do, how do I fix the light problem? I'm not to sure where to start. alex |

I am willing to bet that if you "wrap" on the areas where the lights went out with your knuckles, they will flicker back on. My mom's 95 Avalon had this problem and my 92 Camry is even worse. I'll smack my climate knobs, which will make the lights work again, but then the lights on my recirc and AC buttons will go out. I can never get all the lights to work at the same time.
To get to my point, I'm pretty confident that you have loose connections to the bulbs, or the bulbs may even be burned out. Trying my "knock the dashboard" trick might narrow down the problem a little. I've heard that this erra of Toyota's have that problem. Anyone else out there know what I'm talking about?

If the A/C still blows cold air while the lights are out then its just as they said poor light connection or ground. My 88 has started doing this same sort of thing. I give em a wiggle and they light up.
