keys
First time poster here. I've been following the threads for a while now. I have a 2004 Tacoma 4x4 extended cab SR5 with all of 1000 miles. Just a couple weeks old. I love it so far and hope (expect) to get mega miles from it. Now for the question: The only rattle I get from the Tacoma is from the keys scraping against the dashboard lip just below the key hole. Has anyone stuck anything under the keyhole to stop the noise? I tried some door weatherstripping but it didn't adhere to the dash. I may need to glue something there.
Any ideas? Thanks guys and girls, Bob |

Re: keys
I use one of the quick disconnect type key rings. All that hangs down is the small female end of the connection. No more rattling.

I stuck the loop (soft) side of some Velcro tape below the ignition switch - cushions the keys that hang there.

Re: keys
yeah, letting it hang only causes scratches, but thats a pretty weak design that it even does that
