The car is a 2000 & it doesn't have an alarm. All the remote has is the lock & unlock buttons.

Can't help, I'm afraid. Mine is a JDM but with a Cobra alarm. I use the alarm fob to lock/unlock. For the car fob the manual says problems are dealer fixable only.

Thanks anyway. I have some instructions, but I haven't had time to try them yet. It involves using a 'jumper wire' with the Data Line Conenctors. I may give it a try this weekend.

thanks
