Visibility Problems?
i read many reviews that said that the firebird (98-02) has visibility problems
. i dont know if its because the test drivers were short or not. looking at the drivers seat from the outside, the positioning does look really low so im guessing thats another issue which was added to the visibility problems in addition to the blind spots and the long nose of the car. i would really appreciate anything anybody has to add about this issue

Re: Visibility Problems?
Well, I don't know about 98-02 but I've driven a 94 for about 2 1/2 years now and I've of course noticed some visibility problems. Aside from the obvious long nose issue, (you just hafta know it's there!
the absence of any sort of "rear side window" (I don't know the technical name) sometimes makes it impossible to see anything on the passenger side inbetween your side window and rear window. I'm 5'9" which is pretty average male height and don't really notice any other glaring visibility issues. Coming from a 87 Buick Sommerset the lack of windows took some getting used to at first but eventually you learn to rely on your mirrors more and er on the side of caution when coming close to objects and dealing with your blind spots.

Umm...yeah but you get used to it. It's not that big of a deal after you get used to it. I drive on the freeway everyday and I just make it a habit to turn around and look for cars, twice, because sometimes cars are in between that little thing that you couldn't name either. But yeah it's not that big of a deal because you get used to it and I have a 98.

i've got a 97 camaro and i really have no visibility issues. if you're short i could forsee some issues because of the nose but really it's no big deal. personally i think the mirrors make up for any lacking feature, i've got them set so i really have a tiny blindspot if any- the visibility issues some people believe it to have is because of the long and also thick a-pillers because around turns you do lose some vision from them but it's not that big of a deal at all.
