99 sunfire brakes

yes, i own a sunfire and having problems with brakes. the noise comes from front and back at different times. the noise sounds as if the calipers are stuck and after a little more pressure on pedal they release and make the noise.

Re: 99 sunfire brakes

Is it disc brakes or drums in the back? I am guessing you have discs all the way around. I would pull the calipers off and check the pads. If the pads are worn just replace them. May want to replace the rotors at the same time. They may be binding up so be sure to pull the slide pins out and clean them off. Re grease with slide grease.
