New pictures
Hi!
I visited Gothenburg Motorshow 2004 a while back. Among other cars such as Maybach 620, Porsche Carrera GT (a favorite!) and Schumachers Ferrari F1 (don't remember which year) was two McLaren F1:s. I guess the orange one is #11R, but this time it had a license plate. But I donät know anything about the longtail, could someone please fill me in on that one? Great photos - thanks!
Can you translate the last photo of the sign to English for us? I can understand the basics, but I'm curious what it's referring to where it mentions the Mercedes V12 engine. ![]() >8^) ER |

Re: New pictures
McLaren - a living legend
The first McLaren-car was presented 1993 in Monaco, hence it's 10-year anniversary 2003. It's the finest and most well built car ever produced. There has been 107 McLarens built in total. XP-1, the first prototype, is the only McLaren F1-car ever destroyed. It burned up during the final testing in "hot" climate 1992. Le Mans 24 hours 1995 was won by a McLaren F1, which also has the official speed record for manufactured street legal cars, 240.1 mph = approx. 386.7 km/h Orange McLaren F1 GTR This McLaren F1 GTR (1996) is the so-called "Frank Muller" McLaren that raced in the BPR-serie 1996-97. It also served as a test-bench for McLaren Motorsport when they tested the Mercedes V12-engine. It's been rebuilt for street use by McLaren Cars Ltd and is registered in Sweden. Engine: BMW V12 6.1 liters, approx. 600 hp 7000 rpm, approx. 700 Nm 4000 rpm Drive Train: 6-gear sequential Weight: 1012 kg Performance: Acceleration 1-100 km/h 3.2 sec. Top speed approx. 340 km/h |

Re: New pictures
The weird thing is that I don't know what the McLarens where doing there. There where no ads for any company or similar, just the cars. I didn't mind though.

11r is AFAIK part of Tom Bryant-Meissner's collection (which also contains cars like dauer eb110ss, dauer 962lm, mclaren f1 road car (green), jag xj220, diablo gt, porsche gt1, merc clk gtr, f50 +++). according to some swedes on an other forum I visited some time ago (unfortunately I can't remember which), several of his cars are available for sale at ks-autohandel in germany, where 23r also is located, so there seems to be a connection between ks-autohandel and pacific sportscars (the registered owner of 11r and the dauer eb110ss (I haven't seen any swedish licence plates on any of the other meissner-owned cars, so I haven't been able to check them out))

Re: New pictures
drPhibes: I belive that he also owns/has owned #51, dark green, as can be seen on my other pictures in link removed . I was told in another post on this forum that he was selling that one, so I don't know who owns it now. The licenseplate number was RJC 547, at least back in 2001 (I think...).
EDIT: I noticed now that you can make out the license plate at least partially on the Porsche 911 GT1. RRS *49, I think it's RRS 349. Crappy camera. maartenvanthek: I didn't se any more signs, and there was nobody there. "Only" the two McLarens, I couldn't even find any connection to any company.
