should i try to fix a dent and a scratch by myself?
got a 95 black camaro. bought it with a pretty big dent (about 5 inch across, 1 inch deep) and a long scratch next to it - rear fender. THE HORIZONTAL 1 inch-high 1/3 inch-thick door mold strip runs thru the middle of the dent!. i might be able to get to it from inside thru speaker hole, to push it out. if not, how about those 19.95 infomercial SUCTION KITS, do they work????
will paint crack? molding stay bent and detach? how about the scratch? buy matching gm paint can (lacquer, i think, not enamel), sand, prime, spray, won't it look different from the 9-yr old surrounding coat, how about gloss? thanx!!! |

I can't remember off the top of my head which way it goes, but one direction, laquer and emanel paints don't mix...I think it's laquer paint can't be sprayed over emanal paint, though I can't remember. One direction it works, the other it doesn't.
