Who has a Gibson exhaust?
If anyone has the Gibson stainless exhaust, can you please post
pictures of it? I ordered mine from SLR about 8 months ago and it's starting to rust . I want to see if it looks like the same finish. Thanks |

The problem is you DID NOT buy a stainless steel Gibson exhaust, you bought a SS Gibson muffler(probably) that SLR had pipes made for since Gibson just released the X exhaust sytems a few months ago. Gibson SS systems are guarenteed for life and you have to register the system with them, I am installing one this weekend on a customers X and will take a few pictures of the system for you.

That's just it... the muffler has rust on it too. It was sold to me as a stainless steel system. That's what it says on my invoice.

I have the non-SS Gibson muffler but have not looked at it recently, if there was no damage or scratches it should not be rusting. I am not sure what SLR will do for you since Gibson might not honor the warranty, I will take a few pictures though this weekend of the SS system for you.

You can register online at www.GibsonPerformance.com
Stormy I would call SLR and then e-mail them pictures if needbe, I'm not sure how SLR handles warranty issues.

This is a picture of a magnetic tray stuck to the exhaust. If it were SS it wouldn't be sticking to it.
On my invoice it say "Stianless Steel Exhaust System". This doesn't look stainless to me! I'll be contacting SLR to resolve this. |

you better get some rechargables for that thing, or you'll never get any photos offroad. rechargables last longer than alkalines anyway, and a set of 4 is 12.00. get the blue energizers or panasonic if you can find them, my panasonics have lasted days and 100s of photos on one charge. Rayovac renewals suck ASS.

NiMh are the best batteries going. I have three complete sets of four for my digital camera. I also use them in my portable CD player, my GPS and my Palm. I bought the Radio shack brand ones that are 1600Mah.

I hated the Radio shack ones, they didn't last very long at all. try the Panasonics, they were amazing. I found them at an outlet mall for 9.99 for 4 with a charger, killer deal, I haven't found them since though.
Here, I found a 6 pack of them, they are only 1.25v 1100MaH, but these things go the distance. $15.95 for 6. They are the pink and yellow ones. http://e-vision.net/010614rootsiteba...batteries.html Here's an interesting article that basically says the Panasonics kick ass. I'm buying more, Norman, you want a set? http://www.shop1store.com/Digital_Camera_Batteries.htm
