94 v6 4runner timing belt replace

my water pump/ thermostat went out so im replacing them. was going to try and just remove without disturbing the timing belt but belt came off the upper pullys and now am thinking about changing the belt. bought the chiltons manual but it doesnt really help with installing a new belt. it shows a tensioner spring but i dont have one on my motor. any ideas or point me to literature that can help would be appreciated
