what are u poeples qtr mile times in a probe? can u make a probe fast?

I ran a 15.7 in my 1995 pgt 5 speed stock. Beats them damn hondas that's for sure. The stock probe has more horses than a honda SI. For the price you can get these probes compared to what you'd pay for a honda.........What pay more for a car that is slower?

Typical stock 1/4 mi times for a 2nd gen Probe ('93-'97) will get you between 15.5-16.0s depending on the triver and engine tune. With all normally aspirated (N/A) bolt-ons you are looking at low 14's with a good driver. Nitrous or Turbo will get you into the 13's with traction being the greatest limitation given it's FWD setup. A few have gotten their 2nd gen PGT into the 12's, but that is with slicks and some power adder (S/C, Turbo, N2O). The best N/A 1/4 mile time for an MX6 (same engine/chassis but different shell) would be 13.54@100 mph

1st generation Probes (the turbo versions) are ultimately faster when fully modded (upgraded turbos, slicks, etc) with some in the 11's and 12's. Stock vs stock a turbo 1st gen may be a hair faster than a 2nd gen.

In terms of handling 2nd gen Probe's hands down.

You can make any car fast... ive seen a 13sec geo but yes you can if you want to know how go to www.probetalk.com and search around its got tons of stuff and a 1/4 miles time data base so have at it...
