'97-up buick century stereo issues.
I recently got a new stereo and im having problems installing it with any installation kit. It seems the stereo is too long. Has anyone else had stereo installation issues? What did you do?

Re: '97-up buick century stereo issues.
It is unfortunate that these problems occur. They are typically the result of two things... one is that the vehicle manufacturers want you to use their equipment and two, frequently, these issues are the result of packaging booboos. As these vehicles become more "advanced," they will become increasingly packaging nightmares. Ray

I installed an aftermarket stereo in my 98 century. Yes, it's difficult for an aftermarket stereo to fit. There is a plastic plate that comes down behind the stereo. You can cut or just punch it out. After that the aftermarket stereo should fit ok.
