Best mk2 golf ????

Right then im looking for a kit of a volkwagen golf mk2 for my girlfriend, she likes them but there "a bit old now" (<<<thats a chicks saying) so ive stupidly said ill buy her one, then quickly added in 1/24th scale lol.

off the top of my head theres 2 kits the fujimi

at £9

and the Revell

at £6 (got to love that pound killing the dollar)

which is the best kit? the revell always looks a litte ropey but then again fujimi aint the best in the world

any advice will help

Fujimi, Ii might be curbside? i'm not sure.
Revell, it has engine detail.
Both are good, but choise is yours!

I think the Fujimi is better; I don't really like the Revells.

Re: Best mk2 golf ????

revell has some crummy fitment in the bumpers and engine. i'd go with fujimi.

Re: Re: Best mk2 golf ????

Fujimi is curbside but Revell has an engine.
They have both fitment problems and lack of details at some points. Unfortunately, there is no good kit of the Mk2.
Like you, my heart would balance between the two, but I would choose the Revell.

Re: Re: Best mk2 golf ????

If you dont need any engine details, I would pick Fujimi. Because the Revell has serious fitting problems.

Re: Best mk2 golf ????

I've never seen either of these kits in person, but I think I'd be inclined to agree with Sasa, especially considering the prices, because then you can pick the best parts from each kit or even make hybrid parts.

The revell kit is fine, I built one that everything fit pretty good, and engine detail is OK. (Although it isnt a 16V like the box says)

heres a pic:

went for the revell in the end, as the civic coupe i brought last year wasnt that bad

thinking of slapping on a bit of putty and converting it into this golf rallye by uk VW tuner all smiles. has a stuning carbon race interior. dont know about sourcing a Audi TT engine like the 1.1 car thou
