Re: egr valve problem on a venom intake manifold instal please help
Nope you dont need the egr...
I took mine out yesterday It makes your intake filthy anyways. Follow this to block it off... Find your egr valve, it is to the right of the exhaust manifold on the side of the head. Then find the metal pipe running back to the intake manifold. Remove the 2 8mm bolts that attach the pipe and the egr valve. Remove the 2 8mm bolts that attach the pipe and the intake manifold. Remove the 2 10mm bolts that attach the egr valve to the side of the head. (use wd40 mine were seized/rusted) Then pull everything out of there. You can buy blockoff plates from MOPAR or howellautomotive.com or you can cut 1/8" metal in the shape of the gasket, and put washers on the bolts and put it back on. You will now have a CEL for the missing egr, that can be fixed with a resistor (this does not work 100% of the time sometimes the cpu gets smart and comes back on) You use a 1.2k ohm 10w resistor. However, you still will get a egr insuffient flow code 32, once in a while.
