EGR problem code

I have a 95eclipse gs-t and the other day i was on my way home and i came to a stop sign my car stalled on me.I crancked it back up and a few minutes later it did it again. then the next night I was riding and the car stalled on me again and then the check engine light came on. I got my car back from the shop the day before and i notice the oil press was low when ideling almost none.but as soon as i start going it gets back to normal.I know that the needle moves up and down a litle depending on your acceleration but the oil press at very low was bothering me.I parked the car in the drivway on a board and in the morning check for any leaks but there was none and all the fluids where good.
I went to the local autozone and they checked my engine codes and i had two.
1. EGR malfuntion
2. Fuel Flow problem
anyone had this problem.I'm bringing it to the shop where they installed the motor tomorrow but was just wounder what it could be before they try to shaft me"IF you know what I mean"

PCE!!!

Re: EGR problem code

The actual code numbers would help. EGR could be several things, but I have never heard of number 2.

Re: EGR problem code

I dont have a link... I just did it yesterday.
But mine was on a NT. So i dont know if it is different... but o well here it goes.

Find your egr valve, mine was to the right of the exhaust manifold on the side of the head.
Then find the metal pipe running back to the intake manifold.
Remove the 2 8mm bolts that attach the pipe and the egr valve.
Remove the 2 8mm bolts that attach the pipe and the intake manifold.
Remove the 2 10mm bolts that attach the egr valve to the side of the head. (use wd40 mine were seized/rusted)
Then pull everything out of there.

You can buy blockoff plates from MOPAR or howellautomotive.com or you can cut 1/8" metal in the shape of the gasket, and put washers on the bolts and put it back on.

You will now have a CEL for the missing egr, that can be fixed with a resistor (this does not work 100% of the time sometimes the cpu gets smart and comes back on) You use a 1.2k ohm 10w resistor.

However, you still will get a egr insuffient flow code 32, once in a while.
