removing door panels

got a quick question, how do you remove door panels without breaking them, i know there are clips, but do they just snap on and off? the truck is a 96 silverado. with power windows and locks, my window only opens about 1/3 and my door lock will only lock if you hit the button about 4 times and then will not unlick, any suggestions or tips for removal???

Re: removing door panels

buy a door pannel tool. it has 2 prongs for prying out the plastic clips. you also need to remove the 2 screws on the arm rest and the plastic bezel around the door handle. remember to unplug all the wires once it's loose. some of the clips might stay in the door so be sure to pry them out and stick them back in the pannel slots before reinstalling oh yeah one more thing 3m adhesive spray works good on the plastic seal around the door under the pannel. good luck.
