Well first of all i'm new to this form so Hello to everyone.
i've got a Plymouth 98 ACR. and at this time i'm p/p the intake manifold, but i came across this site:Victor's House of Neon Goodies. I noticed he has a spacer for the manifold and Tb. Has anyone used either of this items? Plus are spacers really worth it I seen all kinds of intakes that have shorten runners, and heard that Tb spacers don't work. The combination of this two are going to make the intake bigger, so which is it short are big. I'm not knocking this guy, I just want to known what everyone thinks about this because I'm looking to get the best part for my money. thank you. Last edited by cman; 07-08-2004 at 08:40 PM. |

I really don't know what to think about TB spacers. Supposedly they create a swirling motion for better atomization and a better burn, but even if it DOES do that, any HP gain will be negligible (and it's funny that the whole marketing scheme of these things is HP HP HP!!). I found a site that makes custom little fans that fit inside your intake pipe to essentially do the same thing. I dunno, it seems too blown up to be worth it....from what I've read, a short tapered intake is best for velocity and throttle response. For example, I have an Iceman intake on my neon, and when coasting off the gas to pressing the gas, there's a slight "delay" while the air rushes down the long pipe.
