95Eclipse GS-T Mods
Sup I have a manual boost control,k&n filter with mass airflow adapter,UICP,1G BOV,and a boost gauge.
What size exhaust should I go with. What is the Stock PSI on my car,What should I boost it to. The car has been sitting up for about 2years and finally have a new motor how hard is it to clean the Intercooler out. Any other BANG forBUCK mods ya'll know of that would help. PCE |

Re: 95Eclipse GS-T Mods
1. You won't benefit from 3 inch over 2.5, but if you are going to need it eventually (many more mods) then go for the 3 to save some money later.
2. Stock is 15psi. Most people recommend no more than 17-18 on the t25 (stock 2g) for reliability, however some people like 95 GSXracer wouldn't hesitate to run whatever will give more power ![]() 3. Remove the intercooler and use gasoline or rubbing alcohol to clean the inside. Exact procedure HERE. 4. Full turbo-back exhaust, intake pipe... then you are pretty much ready for a serious upgrade, the new turbo. That will include all sorts of supporting mods. Fuel pump, injectors, maybe FPR, Air/Fuel controller, clutch, FMIC (depending on how big turbo may not be necessary, but always helpful) are all in the future. Good luck |

Re: 95Eclipse GS-T Mods
You will get boost creep a lot of the time with for example an EVO 16g and 3 inch. It's just bigger than you need. 2.5 is plenty for a small turbo, but like I said, if you have plans to go bigger, 3 inch is good. It's not bad any time except for boost creep, really.

Re: 95Eclipse GS-T Mods
2.5 or 3" will cause boost creep on just about every internal WG turbo there is, if the appropriate porting isnt done. See www.vfaq.com for what porting is required (not the o2 housing like everyone thinks
) 16 psi will yield the most power on 95% of the t25 cars out there. I have looked into this extensively when I had that turbo. I tried everything myself, and that is the conclusion i came to. Assuming pump gas of course. I ran over 20 psi on race gas and went a bit faster (half second).
