Axle back exhaust question
Anyone know if an axle back exhaust from a fifth gen hatch will bolt up to a fourth gen hatch? Someone took a torch to mine before I baught it and a buddy of mine has a few axle backs for fifth gens and he said I could have them if I wanted them and I'm tired of my car sounding like ass with no muffler. I know it probalby wont be a perfect bolt on, but anyone know how hard it would be to adapt before I go and get one of um?

Re: Axle back exhaust question
i do believe it mounts in different spots. you'll have to try and MacGyver something for it. the bends in the exhaust will be different too. you might be able to make it work if you take it to a muffler shop and ask them to custom fit it.
if you want an axle-back i could get you for around $199. if you need just the exhaust i could hook that up much cheaper. either pm or im me and we'll talk

Re: Axle back exhaust question
pretty sure the 5th gen exhaust exits on teh passenger side..while the 4th gens exit on the driver's side..so that's an issue.

Re: Axle back exhaust question
nah, I dont want to spend any money, I got to thinking about the side it comes out of also, I wasnt for sure. If I spend any money because when I do a motor swap I'm running duels, and I'll just order up some pipe and do it myself.
