About 210whp is what I've seen and heard on stock internals. If you run over 170whp, I'd highly suggest you get the block reinforced somehow though, as that amount of strain WILL weaken it at a rapid rate. Either get it sleeved, or use a black guard or something if you want to get near the 200whp mark.

What's more amazing was that I saw this on a D15 motor rather than a D16, and so if a D15 can do it, a D16 certainly can too! The guy was running a 50 shot of nitrous, along with a Cam upgrade and putting down 220whp when he got his car dyno'ed for specs. That is about the absolute maximum you can squeeze out of a D-series SOHC motor running on stock internals.

Well pistons and rods for one. Maybe a stiffer crank as well (bottom end) Also you'd want to have your block either sleeved, or filled with some sort of block guard type stuff. Having the black sleeved can cost as much as $2000 keep in mind. Rods and pistons aren't cheap either. I'd say set aside about $1500 for those 2 things alone. Keeping N/A with lots of power is very possible, but it can be expensive.

200whp and under, most definitely. I think I've heard of people pushing 300hp on blockguard in a D-series motor with no problems yet to speak of.
