Where is the FUEL FILTER in a 2002 996 TT?
Help, I can't find it! Anyone know where they hid this elusive part? Some say it is in the drive shaft tunnel, some say it is in the engine compartment on the drivers side. I think I see it in the engine compartment but it is a bitch to get at. I hate to remove this thing just to find out it isn't the fuel filter. Help, Help, Help.

OK, it's done. Found the filter in the engine compartment on the drivers side, a real bitch to get. I got a lot of advise from other boards so I'll pass on what I learned. The fuel filter on the 2001 is located in the drive shaft tunnel and almost impossible to deal with unless the car is on a lift. Mine, a 2002 was located as listed above. Just an FYI for the next guy. See ya.
