Replacing Jeep Wrangler '00 door handles

Hello,

I am having some trouble replacing my TJ's exterior door handles.

After I removed the interior door panel I am trying to figure out how to get my hand and/or tools up to disingauge the door handle.

All I can see is a small clip approx. 3" below the top of the window sill.

Shall I take out the door glass to gain access from the top (never done that before, tips here would be great!)


Any tips would be helpful
