Turbo Confused

I have asked about the availability of a turbo for my 01 accord and i got the response that no kit exists and to get one for an auto would require some custom orders. So just last night i go onto the turbo forum and hear of guys having turbos in autos and how autos and turbos go well together. and just this mornin i hear of a guy that put a turbo on a 00 Accord coupe V6. Someone tell me what is the correct one cause someone's wrong and im confused!

As of right now no manufacturer makes a kit for production sales. I believe Greddy did one for the V6 as a promotional thing but haven't really tried selling a kit for it. I heard that people have customized a turbo to their v6's... That will require to go to a fab machine shop to make a custom manifold and pipping. Turbo is good for autos along as that auto tranni was made to hold the power of a turbo machine. ex. Turbo supras has just as quick times as the manual supras do. But Toyota enginers have made them that way. Don't for get honda didn't design there engine for turbo.. They had reliabily, longivity and good mileage in mind first. You will definetly need to do your home work if your gonna put a custom turbo in it. oh yah you can also look into getting a level 10 torque converter for ur ride (don't know to much about this product though).

turbo kits for 2001 akords.............

www.F-MAX.com has a turbo kit for the F23 and i think F22.....
as far as i know it makes 245hp to the front wheels at 9PSI
as you may know the kit includes the turbo, pipes, BOV, lectronics, intercooler, i not sure about the exaust manifold, but you can buy this too, if is not included in the kit already.....

i also hear some guys saying that theres some kind of DRAG Generation turbo for the accord as well...

and HKS had a turbo for the V6 they were doing some testing about 2-3 years ago and droped it cause they found some problems w. the tranny. after putting that turbo for sale on www.ebay.com a guy in www.accordV6.com bought it, his name john screenname l.i.accord and he did the install and the turbo is running very well, and he already killed a 1.8T audi A4

anyways id by any chance you dont get a turbo kit for the accord you can always get one custom made, if not just buy one for the prelude and make a custom exaust manifold and it should work just fine.....
