*** Looking for 5.0L HO and T-5 to put into my Miata ***

Hey guys,
I've been told this would be a good place to find parts for my v8 conversion project. I'm tossing the 4 cyl 100 hp engine out for some good ole muscle. I used to have a.... 80 Malibu with 327 corvette engine with Holly aftermarket TB injection. Yeah I'm an old chevy guy... but I'm willing to go Ford I've always thought they were smarter engines... just looking at the equal spacing on the intakes and exhaust ports tells you something.

Anyway, The for the project I'll need a 5.0L EFI HO engine w/accessories and wiring harnesses, a T-5 tranny with a T-Bird/Cobra Rear-end for the added hp and torque.

Any and all help would be much appreciated!!!

Steve

well, you could just buy a Mustang with a 5.0 and a T-5, and drive it... but hey, we like what we like =)

instead, you could buy said Mustang and strip it of its driveline. i'm sure there are plenty of guys who would die over a rolling stang chassis (i used to be one of them =) )

fox-bodied stangs are fairly easy to find. autotrader.com is a great place to start. that's where i got my 4-banger. try to find one with under 100k miles, that'll make for a much easier rebuild. heck, one of those motors would do fairly well as just a straight transplant.
