Eclipse Temp. Fluxuates
My eclipse with no mods just stock, the temperature fluxuates when i am going down the highway or idling. It doesn't matter. It has been checked by a couple of local mechanics. None of them could find a problem. They say that they checked the thermistat and everything. The fluxuation continues to go on. It never stays hot. It will run normal at half way between H/C. then it will go up 3/4 to hot, then drop back down after about 30 seconds or so. It doesnt matter if the weather is hot or cold. It does it no matter what. Any ideas suggestions? THanks.

Re: Eclipse Temp. Fluxuates
check to make sure the overflow tank is secured and the hoses are on where they should be. i had the same problem and my tank was completly gone [just dissapeared one day], but i was told it was pressure differences giving off wierd readings. hope that helps...

Quote:
Make sure it is not leaking, mine was not properly mounted and the PS belt ate the side of it.
