2000 civic si help.....
my roomate has a 2000 civic si and today at the last minute this guy slams the break on. well my roomate locks them up and runs into the hitch. so i come home today to see it. well the freakin hitch stuck out like a foot! right at the license plate. its pushed in like 1 ' into the engine bay. both radiators are broke and craked. air bag didnt go off which i think it should have. the outer bumper is flared outwards. i dont think the front of the frame is bent. well the front piece is. engine is fine. the front bumper looks like a "W" now. so i guess what im getting at is.......i need help on where to get all this stuff at cheap and if parts are the same etc.
i believe he can get the bumper off another 97 or new civic right? everyone of them is the same? i think they are so please someone let me know.....his bottom lip is ok so we are going to take that off and keep it. the hood is dented up so i also believe the hoods are all the same on 97 and up civics right? then we also have to get all new front mounts and maybe front end of the car......it looks like someone just punched the center of the bumper in 1'! all help is greatly wanted.

I don't know about the years and such. But go to a junk yard, civics get their asses kicked all the time. You'll most likely find one.

yeah thats what i was gonna do is call around and help him out. also call some local performance shope that might have a front end sitting around after someone bought a kit. i guess its a good thing this happend today rather than earlier this week cause of his job etc. and next week is vacation so its all good. now just have to sit around and call. if there are an locals from mdallas that could help out i would love the help. plus we have a friend that works at a body shop out here so we have the hook up on getting this stuff put on.

I'm not positive, but I think he will need a '99-'00 Civic bumper.

For some reason, I don't think a 96-98 front end will work because whenever you see body kits for Civics, you always see 98-98 and 99-00. Anyway, you'd also have to get the Si front lip, unless his is not bent or broken. So I would say 99-00 bumper, and the lip

Find a shop with a frame straightening machine. It is a big thing that they pull the car up onto (slightly larger than an alignment machine) and they can pull your frame back to normal in no time for low $$. Also, the hood will need to be 99-00 too because 96-98 had smaller and differently shaped headlights. |

In the front end, theres four main metal supports: the upper headlight-radiator tie, lower radiator mount, front-bumper support, and upper-lower cross-tie. I assume your bumper support is alright since it's a huge chunk of metal, but most likely the others will need to be replaced. And yep, moderator is right: theres a small radiator, which is the same radiator used in most honda's where AC is applicable. You shouldn't hav a hard time finding one of those. I highly doubt theres any frame damage, it'll probably just be replacement of those front supports and your hood and bumper. MAKE SURE AND SPECIFY 1999-2000!!!! Parts stores are notorious for just being like, "oh well we'll order a 97 because its the same generation..." their completely different front-ends. Good luck!

If you have a 99-00 Civic then those are the only years you can trade from. The hood, fenders, grill, bumper and headlights are different on the 96-98s.
