Fuel filter $$
I think it was posted earlier, but does anyone besides the dealer sell the fuel filter (for a 99' GC)? Dealers want $70 or more. It seems like a pretty small filter at that, too.

The fuel filter for my 93 laredo is Fram part number G-7399. Check to make sure it will fit your app. Autozone should be able to find one for you. About $20

Re: Fuel filter $$
Auto Zone, Kragen and Pep Boy, all could not find one. They said it was an "in the fuel tank" type?
The later models 98 and up could have changed from the previous years style. Yet, we (Auto and Pep) saw underneath near the differential, a "fuel filter", but no part number showed up. We looked at a Haynes manual, and it shows the outside filter. They said it was a dealer item. |

according to everyone I have talked to about our filters and the reason nobody carries them is that are supposed to be lifetime filters and are not to be replaced. I dont get it, because eventually they will become clogged. And yes they are inline with the tank, which would make them a pain to get to. why they do this is beyond me. But I hope that helps.
