Which performs better n1 single or dual?

I was just wondering about the performance comparison of the apexi n1 single and the dual. From what i hear is that the dual will perform better because it flows more exhaust than the n1 single and the fact that it can keep low end torque and build mid to high end power. Any help will be very appreciated

I have heard that you can get more power from a single, because if you have dual you will not get enough back pressure.

but the dual piping is smaller in diameter than the n1 single, isn't it?

If your car is turbo how much if any back pressure do you need? Shouldn't the turbo wastegate hold and relieve the pressure you do and don't need?

Re: Which performs better n1 single or dual?

The N1 single according to Apexi is 75-85mm in diameter. The N1 dual is two 60.5mm tubes.this equals a higher flow rate. I'm not saying Apexi is wrong or contradicting anything that anyone has said but how is more backpressure going to be created when more gases can flow?

what i heard also. you lose low-range torque but you gain more mid-to-high range torque and opens up more potential when you're already going fast. I don't know if this is true, just what I heard. Also if you read a'pexi's website, it just says it increases dramatic mid-to-high range torque, doesn't mention low end torque.

Re: Which performs better n1 single or dual?

I just put on an N1 single last week and it performs well on my N/A S13. Very nice sound too
