How much boost? What is your compressioin raito? What engine do you have? Twins or single? what kind of fuel do you want to run most of the time? Let me know and I will try to help.

Re: 95 camaro trying to get turbo put in any ideas

is it the 3.4 or the 3.8, cause either way you do not have 8.6 to one(unless its modified). the 3.4 had 9 to one and the 3.8 had 9.5 to one...

Well, with pump gas, unless you are going to spay alcohol, I would not go anything above 15-16 espically with 9:1 compression. I would also make sure that the bottom end sepically the main and journal bearings are built to take the force. You pistons are just plane jane stock cast pistons as well they won't with with the incresed tempatures they will experence. PLEASE intercool it! some people try to get away with massive ammounts of boost and no intercooler. It's kinda like throwing gasoline on a housefire to put it out, it just does not work.

Accually, you may just want to buy a Grand National engine and just put it in. I don't think a 3.4 would withstand the kind of boost pressures you want to run for long. Buying a GN engine and tranny might be a little more expensie but, You will be happier in the long run. Ive seen them in a couple of camaros before you will have to buy some TTA heads and headers and do some fab work on your own but, it will be just as difficult as plumbing up a turbo setup for your car.

Oh you also said that you did not know much about engines. You might want to serouisly start reading up, once you run any force fed engine you have to constantly monitor any and all engine functions and sensors, even on the fly. If you don't know what is going on your going to just throw all sorts of money down at the pavement. Not trying to put you down at all, just don't want you to waste your money.

Yeah I've got an idea....how about you go fuck your cat up. If your gonna do something like that save your money and buy a supercharger. You wont have to keep replacing them, like you would the turbos. They overheat and blow up and theres a cool down period for them
