leaf springs
my rear on my 91 grand voyager sags I replaced theshocks but still have sag.Why is it hard to find leaf springs for theis van? I also need to know how do you know if the front coil springs need to be replaced. When I run over a little bump or hole my front strut bottoms out BAD,so do I need to just replace the struts or struts and springs on the front?

Re: leaf springs
If those are the orginal struts and when you jump on the front of the van and it continues to bounse up and down after you have stopped making it, more than twice
they should be replaced. But unless you are driving on rodes that are really bad all of time the chances are the coils are most likely fine. I had replaced the struts twice on my 88 Caravan (160,000+miles) and still had not replaced the coils. As for the rear leaf springs, mine were still fine when it finely gave up the goust. I remember When I put air shocks on my 72 Camero because the leif springs wouldn't hold it up any more. It had some really long leif springs. Than I could pump them up as high as I wanted to Ride On, digimon |
