Re: 1990 vette fuel problem

The standard L98 should have two fuses which supply injector power, marked INJ1 and INJ2. Each bank of injectors should get power from one of these fuses whenever the ignition is turned on. The ECM controls the grounded side of the injectors, providing a ground path whenever either bank of injectors is supposed to "fire."

The first thing to do is determine if the injector harness has the 12V supply with the ignition on. If there is no 12V source present, check the fuses and harness. If there is 12V, check the injector harness and ECM.

The VATS system will also prevent the ECM from pulsing the injectors if the system does not detect the correct ignition key resistance and signal the ECM. The VATS can also prevent the starter from operating, but there are separate VATS circuits for each of these functions. One may be working, while the other may not be.

Did you check for fuel pressure?

Smile Re: 1990 vette fuel problem

I found the problem, one of the fuel injectors fried ,causing the ecm to quit sending messages to injectors. Replaced ecm ,disconected bad injector until I get new injectors. It runs a little rough on 7 cylinders but it starts..
