Unhappy Oil Light, Puff of smoke, Black Tailpipe

I'm not sure but I think I may need a new engine for my late model 1991 Nissan Pickup King Cab 4x4 2.4L 2389cc. I'm not sure if it was the oil pump, the rings but there are no leaks whatsoever other than the tailpipe. Can it be saved? Also does anyone know where I can get a cheap engine or has one they would like to donate. Or any other suggestions.
Thank you very much,
Paul

Oil light, Puff of Smoke, Black Tailpipe, omg you're killin me. I would recommend getting it taken in for a quick diagnostic seeing as how there could be many problems resulting from things you described. If it's shot, the 2.4 liter engine isn't that expensive. You could probably get one on ebay for under 800 dollars (which isn't cheap but for a newer engine it is pretty good).
