Tenuous link, but I think you will find it interesting...

I went to the Farboud factory last month...here's some pics. Enjoy!

As for the link to McLaren F1s, the Farboud car has the gold foil in the rear hatch just like the F1, and the performance is going to be very, very close. Both Arash and I are huge fans of the F1 and we both want to get one--in fact, someone I know (in England) has three -- we might go drive them this summer. If so, pics will be on here first!

There's also some great background info and technical specs on Pistonheads.

Visually, it looks like Carrera GT meets Lotus M250 to me. Seems to flow well together, but isn't very original. I can't say that I could do any better though.

What's the powerplant?

Audi RS6 with twin turbos...580-over 600bhp. Agreed that the looks are not too original, but it's still good looking except for that weird kinked indentation in the door panel. No?

Not surprising about the similarity to the M250, as a lot of that disbanded team ended up working for Farboud. Handling is entirely from Lotus...they are one of the best in the business.

I quite like the look, hadn't heard anything about them though so unfortuantly didn't give it much of a second glance.
Intresting that it has gold lining as well though.

That's from the Autosport show--where the Farboud's best angles were on display.

Here's one I particularly liked...

I don't remember seeing her at the Autosport show. What day was that?

The car looked pretty good in the flesh.

Aren't they quoting some sort of flabbergasting 0-60 time? Like around 3 seconds or something?

How did the build quality (of the car) look?

Re: Tenuous link, but I think you will find it interesting...

Mr. Bernoulli, she was there on the last day, after hours. I have her phone number if you're interested.

Build quality was fantastic. Because the materials and finished items they start with are absolutely stunning. No burrs on the finished aluminium stuff. No scrapes on the carbon fibre resin. They assemble and disassemble everything three times to check fit and finish and make it bed in. All kinds of top-quality procedures. That said, it's handmade, and part of the charm of handmade cars are some quirky or unique touches. I am sure those exist on this car.

I don't know the exact 0-60 time or other such specs, but it's going to be in the top tier of supercars.

Cheers mate!

But seriously, from what I could see the build quality was fantastic especially when compared to the Gallardos that were at Goodwood FoS last summer...

Re: Tenuous link, but I think you will find it interesting...

I hav but one question, why have I not heard of this company until now?! Great cars, where can I find out more information about the company's history and the specs of the car? have any reviews of the car been made? How do you guys think it stacks up against upper tier exotic competition?
