Intake Manifold PROBLEMZ PLZ HELP!!

i have a 92 lx civic and i had it miniswapped for a jdm d15 b engine. I just put vtech harnesses on about 2weeks ago , but when me and my friend did that we broke the 02 sensor on my stock intake manifold. so my oil was burning rich, So i then bought a stock si manifold for $20 and put that in. The problem is that my vtech is working but my car idles now. It idles back and forth to 2200 rpms and back, and back again. It keeps going back and forth. Sometimes it just stays at 2200 rpms, it changes every now and then BUT it never goes back to normal jus IDLE,IDle,and idles! Now i know it has something to do with the maifold since this problem started when i put tha intake manfiold in. I just checked the throttle and it has nothing to do with it. Also im using the same throttle body from ma old engine.

PLZ HELP!!!

i've personally never seen an o2 sensor on a intake manifold. but it also sounds like your idle air control valve is bad

Re: Intake Manifold PROBLEMZ PLZ HELP!!

As said above, the fluctuating idle is usually attributed to the IACV on the back of the intake manifold. Put the IACV from you old IM onto the new IM, then see what happens.

It was pretty hard to reach but i got it. But i jus checked my radiator and i found out i had plastic hose particles and a 20 fuse in ma hose line.WTF!!! The dumbass b4 me i dont know how he did it but he managed to put a fuse in ma radiator to the hose line. O Well gotta check ma head to see if anything got in there thats not supposed to be.

Hi. I have the same problem too I have a 1995 acura integra RS I just put in a new edlbrock victor x intake manifold. I can start the car but when I start the car It idles from 1300 to 1600 back and forth back and forth. I try warming up the car but it did not work it still idles back and forth. Can you tell what wrong. I clean the IACV and it still idles. However, there is a leak between the header and the cat. Do you think that can be the problem.
