Does anybody know, or heard of anybody making there own fairings for motorcycles? If so please post some links to know-how or type some info into this thread. I am very interested in trying to build my own fairings to have a totaly custom motorcycle.

get some foam type material from the local crafts store get like a cube then shape it to whatever you want put a layer of wax paper on it then coat it in fiberglass many layers of fiberglass not too hard ive never done fairings but ive made parts for a dash in a truck before

Damn good idea, but I need more info, like where does a guy get fiberglass? is it in sheets or do you pour it? and do you know where some good online material is for reference?

fiberglass matting, you put some layers of the matting on wax paper and then coat it with fiberglass resin to make it hard and then leave it to dry and sand it down to make it smoother.

sv would be correct and you can buy it from any local parts store but i would only buy the ressin there the matting is insanely expensive find some where you can buy the matting in a huge roll around here i go to a boat repair shop
