So the Grand Am is running and I think I stopped all the leaks. Problem turned out to be a warped head.
The problem: I drive it, once the car starts getting up to temps, I hit the gas and sometimes it's fine. Other times the rpms will drop to half of idle and the car will start shaking. If I left off the gas, rpms will go back to idle and be fine. Sometimes I can hit the gas and it'll drive ok. Other times I hit the gas and it'll drop back down. If I keep my foot on the gas at all when it starts to do it, the car dies. Starts back up perfectly fine. I've done this in the middle of traffic with no problem. This only happens once the engine temp starts going up. If it's freshly started, the idle is rough, but I can make it to where I need to go close by without it doing dying or even bucking. Engine is basically refreshed, new head, new O2, new CLT, tried 2 ignition coils/packs/plug holders, everything is plugged in. CEL is on but havne't made it to Autozone. Ya I know, get that done. Also have SRS, Taction, ABS, Security... lots of other lights on too ![]() In the meantime, any ideas?
