2000 Ranger Headlight Replacement
Hi all..
Need some help in figguring out what to do as far as getting to my headlights to replace the lamp(s). I've tried searching online to no avail and the local library doesn't have a haynes or chilton's for a 2000 Ranger. Some help here would be apprecited. Thanks, Coug |

Re: 2000 Ranger Headlight Replacement
I found a haynes for a 1993 - 2000 Ford Ranger at Auto Zone in Utah. You should just have to turn the bulb in back of the headlight, right underneath the hood, and pull the bulb out of the back of the headlight. You should then be able to un-hook the actual bulb, and replace. install in reverse. Let me know if I need to be a little more specific.

Re: 2000 Ranger Headlight Replacement
I just swapped out my headlights yesterday. Ive done it before...I have found it easier to access the Driver side by taking out the battery. Then just reach down and find the black cover thats over the light and twist that off. Then just pull the light out. To install the new one just plug it in and make sure that the black cap goes on the same way it came off. To get the light in takes some time. At least for me it did. Once its in good and tight, just screw on the black cap. And for the passenger side, I just pulled off the cover to the air intake and it was easier to get to the light. Any questions, just ask.
