93 lumina tranny

i had the trans on my 93 lumine euro rebuilt about 3months ago. the car seems to have a lag in speed. i took it back to the shop and they said that they found nothing wrong, no codes or anything. before getting the trans rebuilt, the car drove fine. i could peel out and i was leaving toyotas and hondas in the dust. i was told that the bands might need to be loosened that they could be too tight. then i heard the bands in this car are not adjustable. then i was told i could have low pressure. i dont know please help. the shop that originally did the job went out of business 2 days later after the trans was rebuilt. i was supposed to have a 1yr/unlimited mileage warranty. i feel so cheated, i paid over a grand to get my trans rebuilt and then the place goes under, go figure!!!!!!
