My winter driver took a crap lastnight. I somked the clutch playing in the snow (4x4) Yea I know it's my own fault but it still makes me mad. Sorry I just had to vent

Sorry man. I was just thinking about the cost of a whole 5.0 TT set up, and a clutch for a truck.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. I was playing in the snow with my GTR, that was some fun stuff

Did the clutch just totally explode or what? Cuz you could still drive it if its slipping bad.

And I don't know how Hypsi is doing his turbo set up, but there are quite a few guys running around with junkyard setups for under 1g. Although it seemed like Hypsi wasn't really giong junkyard since he was having some custom headers made...

sorry I was in the middle of class when you said that. I was not really putting two and to together (Learing about all the wonders and magic of caterpillar fuel systems) Any way... The Ranger is my snow truck. I tried the GN in the snow once......... I'm luckey to be alive and to still have the car. Anyway, I was hoping to just piece it together alittle here a little there since I really don't have the money to do it all at once.

I wanna run 20+ PSI on a gerdeled stock 302... Some people say it can't be done. I wanna find out for myself. It seems if I follow everyone elese I end up getting screwed. Not saying that everyone is a retard.... You know what I mean.

Ok, lets not get tied up in a money thing. I was only kiddin, it was just not funny, sorry. I did not mean anything by it?

It does really suck, when you have certain amount of cash put away for certain mod, and then you get bit in the butt by animal you did not see coming.

Since you mentioned it Hyps, what are your plans with the 5.0 build up? I do not re-call seeing a post on it.

I not quite sure about everything but... I want forged internals 8:1 compression. and a fresh stock block 30something (depends on how much I shave out of the cylinders. Kinda play by ear.

8:1, that will be a monster. On a stock block? What kind of power are you looking for? What boost levels are we talkin?

hell, my 351 will be down at about 7:1 w/out the blower. there's no replacement for displacement, but there's also no replacement for volumetric efficiency.

and i'm curious... what exactly happened to your clutch?

7:1 that is just for the strip, because it will not be a good engine for the street.

How are you going to prevent detonation with that low of a compression?

Thumbs up

Ive ran 17 psi accidentally with the stock longblock. I miscalculated and used my 2.7" blower pulley and 8" crank pulley. Just spiked it and didnt get that high again changed the crank pulley back to the 6".
