Do All Hondas
Have Leaky Trunks????
I just bought a 04 Honda Civic and the darn trunk is leaking... I am taking it into the warenty but I am wondering if it is just going to keep happening after they work on it.. I have only had the car for 2 months and this sucks when you go to put stuff in the trunk and then come to find out it is soaking wet when you go to take it out....  Thanks

hmm... the trunk on my '94 doesn't leak a drop. amazing the difference ten years can make!

I leave my hockey gear in my trunk, I haven't noticed any signs of moisture getting in.

my 95 integra did, my 95 civic does.... both only when driving though my buddy's 93 civic leaks when driving and sitting still my girlfriends 98 prelude leaks driving and sitting still......... its a honda thing

wow, first time i've heard of it being a prob. Mine doesn't or anyone I know that has had a honda.
note: it is annoying when I open my trunk if there is standing water on the trunk lid, the sides of the lid direct the stream of water directly into my trunk.

Mine doesn't on my '00 Civic, nor does the trunk and my sister's '95 Civic. But if they fix it correctly, it shouldn't leak anymore.

My 98 teg gsr doesnt and the 92 hatch doesnt either. Woudnt hurt to have them checked out.

Huh... Thanks... Welll I have had my car at the service department for almost a week now... IT sux driving a rental car... I should have it back tomorrow I hope... They said they fixed it and they are replacing all of the carpet in the trunk too... What a pain in the butt tho

interesting, a week? for a waterleak that is known by the manufacturer and they have issued a service letter for the repair proceedure! they only allow just over an hour for the repair (flat rate time).
