Gm Window Crank Regulators

Has anyone ever tightened up the center pivot point on a manual crank regulator? It is on a 1986 Buick GN. Is there a way to re-tighten the rivet? Need help please.

Re: Gm Window Crank Regulators

I'm not familiar with that particular design, but generally speaking you "replace" rather than "retighten" rivets.

Well, thanks for the response. I checked in the boneyard and all the ones I looked at seem to be loose. I cannot find a new replacement anywhere (except dealer for 135.00) and forget that.
No other ideas?
